We are so excited that you are interested in collaborating with us! Here are some FAQs for those interested in joining us for an episode.
Will I get paid?
No, Poly Pages is a proudly independent, listener supported product. As such we never pay for collaboration or content.
But I'm a 'professional poly person'....
Whilst we do realize that some people develop their lifestyle and identity into a brand that supports them financially, paying some for collaboration and not others would be grossly unfair. During the episode we will of course give you the option to plug your sites, shows, books, tours or events, and your socials will be included in your host entry on the standing site and in the shownotes for the episode.
Do I need a higher degree to be a co-host?
Not at all! Whilst many of our hosts do have higher learning and academic achievements, this is not a prerequisite. All we ask is that our hosts anticipate and feel comfortable with a level of analysis of the texts to ensure smooth conversation.
I am not 'out'. Is that a problem?
Whilst Poly Pages encourages and tries to centre those that are 'out', we also realise that this is a privilege and a risk. We will take all possible steps to ensure you are happy, comfortable and above all safe during production, including sending you a copy of the bonus episode for your green light. Any reasonable request for privacy will be accommodated for, including using a false name, obscured images, and omitting personal information from dissemination.
I'd love to be on the podcast but I don't know what to talk about...
Not a problem! Getting in contact with us is the first step. We have a team of people dedicated to finding the most relevant, recent or interesting literature to match with our bonus hosts. We will work with you to find a text suitable to your background, interests and/or fields of study.
Do you run personal stories? I'd like to share my journey.
No, Poly Pages does not run personal stories. It's just not our lane. However, we are happy to recommend two podcasts that focus on personal stories as their subject matter and who feature everyday tales from ethical non-monogamous folx: Normalising Non-Monogamy and Loving Without Boundaries
I'm seeking relationship advice, can you help?
Whilst Poly Pages is run by individuals who are experienced and practiced in polyamory, Poly Pages is not a relationship coaching platform and we do not position ourselves as such. At this time we do not take listener questions. We are in the process of partnering with a service to refer you to. In the meantime we are happy to recommend the Multiamory Podcast which is run by relationship coaches, who do a wonderful job of tackling the 'how to' of relationship including non-monogamous dynamics.
I'm an author, can I come on to talk about my book?
At this time we do not have authors on to talk about their own work. But, we would love to have you on as a guest to talk about a piece that inspired you, influenced you, or that you disagree with. Drop us an email!
I have found a study/article/text that I'd like to hear discussed.
We would love to hear about! Please email us the citation and we will add it to our wishlist for future episodes. If you are interested in discussing it as a guest host with us let us know and we'll see what we can work out!
